Autobot, are a faction of robots coming from the planet Cybertron, they are the main protagonists in the fictional universe of the Transformers, a collection of graphic novels, various toys, paperback books, movies and cartoons first introduced in 1984. The "Heroic Autobots" are usually opposed by the "Evil Decepticons" the Transformers main antagonists. Both Autobots and Decepticons are humanoid robots that can transform into vehicles, machines, and other familiar mechanical objects. Autobots often turn into civilian vehicles but some are military and aircraft vehicles. Though the Autobots usually find themselves outnumbered by the Decepticons, the Autobots have home-field advantage, having not only earth's military support, but also more places to fall back on, while the Decepticons are completely unwelcome on Earth.
